WARRANTY

A. ROGUE PCS LIMITED WARRANTY DETAILS

Rogue PCs provides a non-transferable warranty to the original purchaser, except where prohibited by local law, that any part of their hardware system (excluding software, documentation, and similar items) will be free of defects in workmanship and materials for the warranty period specified at the time of purchase, beginning on the date of delivery to the customer. During the warranty period Rogue PCs will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, the defective hardware system free of charge for labor and/or parts, dependent on the terms of the original warranty. Any replacement parts will be equivalent to the original parts, but may not necessarily be the same.

Rogue PCs will cover shipping costs back and forth for service under this warranty for 45 days after the customer first receives the system. After these 45 days, the customer will be held liable for all shipping costs to Rogue PCs’ repair facility. The remedy for this breach of warranty is limited to replacement or repair with parts warranted for the the remainder of the warranty period. Any additional purchases, repairs, or authorized upgrades will not extend this warranty. Damages excluded from this warranty include, but are not limited to, any damage caused during shipment (excluding original shipment to the customer) and any damage caused by: impacts, fluids, fire, flood, wind, earthquake, lightning or similar disaster; unauthorized modifications, attachments or peripherals, improper use, environment, installation or electrical supply; improper maintenance; any other misuse, abuse, or mishandling.

Rogue PCs’ sole liability, in accordance with this warranty, for failing to repair or replace the hardware system after a reasonable number of attempts is to replace or, at Rogue PCs’ sole discretion, refund the current market value of the hardware system price minus 10% per year of use. Rogue PCs shall not be held liable for any other damages under any conditions, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential and other similar claims whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, or strict liability, or any other similar theories. Damages excluded include but are not limited to: loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data or software, loss of use of the hardware system, loss of use of related equipment, cost of substitute or replacement equipment, “down-time”, purchaser’s time, injury to property, and all claims of third parties.

Except as explicitly stated, Rogue PCs makes no representations of express or implied warranties for any products sold by Rogue PCs. Except for the warranty expressly stated and agreed to at the time of purchase, Rogue PCs disclaims all express or implied warranties on all products sold.

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE DUE TO MISUSE, NEGLECT, NON-COMPLIANCE, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Rogue PCs Warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear; damage or loss of data due to interoperability with current and/or future versions of operating system or other current and/or future software and hardware; alterations (by persons other than Rogue PCs; damage caused by operator error or non-compliance with instructions as set out in the user documentation or other accompanying documentation; damage caused by acts of nature such as lightning, storms, floods, fires, and earthquakes, etc. Products evidencing the product serial number has been tampered with or removed; misuse, neglect, and improper handling; damage caused by undue physical, temperature, or electrical stress; counterfeit products; damage or loss of data caused by a computer virus, worm, Trojan horse, or memory content corruption; failures of the product which result from accident, abuse, misuse (including but not limited to improper installation, connection to incorrect voltages, and power points); failures caused by products not supplied by Rogue PCs; damage cause by moisture, corrosive environments, high voltage surges, shipping, abnormal working conditions; or the use of the product outside the borders of the country or territory intended for use. Rogue PCs reserves the right to void any warranty for products that show that the product serial number has been tampered with or removed; misuse, neglect, and improper handling; damage caused by undue physical, temperature, or electrical stress; counterfeit products; failures of the product which result from accident, abuse, misuse.

The coverage of labor and parts is dependent on the warranty chosen at the time of purchase. Below is the breakdown of each warranty we offer and the coverage each one includes:

Lifetime Specialist Care with 2 Year Limited Warranty (2 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement)

  • Covers labor costs for 2 years and part replacement from our inventory for 1 year. After the first year, Rogue PCs will help replace any defective parts for the customer as long as those parts are still under warranty with the manufacturer. If the part is no longer under manufacturer warranty, Rogue PCs can replace the defective part with an equivalent part for only the cost of the replacement parts, as long as the customer is still covered by the labor warranty.

Lifetime Specialist Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement)

  • Covers labor costs for 3 years and part replacement from our inventory for 1 year. After the first year, Rogue PCs will help replace any defective parts for the customer as long as those parts are still under warranty with the manufacturer. If the part is no longer under manufacturer warranty, Rogue PCs can replace the defective part with an equivalent part for only the cost of the replacement parts, as long as the customer is still covered by the labor warranty.

Lifetime Specialist Care with 4 Year Limited Warranty (4 Year Labor & 2 Year Part Replacement)

  • Covers labor costs for 4 years and part replacement from our inventory for 2 years. After the first year, Rogue PCs will help replace any defective parts for the customer as long as those parts are still under warranty with the manufacturer. If the part is no longer under manufacturer warranty, Rogue PCs can replace the defective part with an equivalent part for only the cost of the replacement parts, as long as the customer is still covered by the labor warranty.

B. HOW TO OBTAIN SERVICE UNDER THIS WARRANTY

Call or email the Customer Service Department at 818-220-6600 or cs@roguepcs.com. Please include or have your order number ready. Our staff will first attempt to diagnose the problem over the phone or through email. If our staff deems that the problem cannot be resolved over the phone or by email, they will authorize a repair. Once the repair has been authorized you may send the product to our facility.

Please do not send any products in without prior authorization. If we receive a product at our facility without prior authorization we will hold it for 10 days pending receipt of a return address and return shipping payment. If after 10 days we have not received both of these items, the returned product will be salvaged or disposed of without any obligation to account to the customer.

Rogue PCs is not responsible for damage caused by equipment or components not installed by Rogue PCs. The limited warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by: shipping damage (excluding original shipment to the customer); unauthorized modifications, attachments or peripherals; improper use, environment, installation, electrical supply, or other power irregularities; improper maintenance; or any other misuse, abuse, or mishandling. In addition, Rogue PCs will not provide any service if the serial numbers do not match or if the product was not purchased directly from Rogue PCs.

Do not include any accessories with your hardware system for warranty service. Rogue PCs will not be held responsible for any missing accessories such as software, adapters, etc.

If no defect is found that is covered by the warranty, you will be charged a diagnostic/test fee. At which point there are two options:

  1. You can be advised on the recommended course of action and pay the diagnostic/test fee and return shipping, at which point we will return your product; or
  2. Or you can request that Rogue PCs complete the repair. The diagnostic/test fee will be waived and you will be charged the cost of the repair and return shipping

Once all fees are paid and the repair has been completed (if applicable), your product will be returned. If the fees are not paid within 10 days from the first notification, the product will be salvaged or disposed of without any obligation to account to the customer.

C. UPGRADE WARRANTY DETAILS

Any upgrades not performed by Rogue PCs are not covered under this warranty. Upgrades are not prohibited by this warranty; however, improper installation of any upgrades may void the warranty of your hardware system.

Rogue PCs can upgrade your system without voiding your warranty. The customer will be responsible for shipping to and from our facility, labor, and parts required for the process. Upgrades do not extend the length of the original warranty of your hardware system.

Warranty service on upgraded parts installed by Rogue PCs is limited to the terms of the manufacturer’s original warranty. In addition, warranty service cannot be provided on your hardware system if there are any hardware upgrades not purchased and installed by Rogue PCs.

D. COSMETIC DAMAGES

Rogue PCs takes the utmost care in our building process to ensure that all of our systems leave our facility without any scratches or dents. All systems are inspected by one of our senior technicians immediately prior to packaging to insure there are no cosmetic defects. Any cosmetic damages larger than the size of a U.S. nickel will be covered under warranty if reported within the first 5 days of original delivery.

E. LIQUID COOLED SYSTEMS WARRANTY

Liquid cooling/water cooling components are only covered for 1 year, and these components are not included under any of our Limited Warranties.
